Zubedy ideahouse is the communications and creative arm of zubedy. Its main responsibilities include zubedy’s communications projects such as our full-page festive ads, book publications, audio visual production and unity products. zubedy ideahouse also runs events such as the annual unity themed #SaySomethingNice campaign, contact talks, youth gatherings, and client meet-ups.
Since 2001 our full-page festive ads have been in the newspaper, and they have become our immediate recognition for the public. Our festive ads feature admirable historical figures from around the world and talk about the Malaysian values and issues of Unity while addressing current matters. Every year a theme is picked for the festive ads with our signature wish of “Have a meaningful…” These adverts have been turned into a book that features zubedy’s print ads from the year 2001 to 2008, with the title ‘Have a meaningful Malaysia’. Apart from the festive ads, full-page ads of Anas Zubedy’s open letters and campaigns have been featured as well.
Our books are of two series: to Unite People series and Cili Padi series. Books to Unite People series focus on unity such as zubedy’s Have a meaningful Malaysia advert collection, Anas Zubedy’s Middle Path, Chandra Muzaffar’s A Plea for Empathy, and Shad Faruqi Saleem’s The Bedrock of Our Nation: Our Constitution. The Cili Padi series are bite-sized compilation of thoughts and ideas meant for light reading such as #BodohPolitik: 101 easy guides on how (not) to choose a Malaysian Leader and #MoneyTalk: 139 easy guides on how to make and keep money without cheating and corruption.
We engage our clients and the public through campaigns, contact talks and youth gatherings. Every year since 2001, we have celebrated Hari Malaysia with our clients. This has evolved into including the general public through the #SaySomethingNice campaign, which started in 2011. Our #SaySomethingNice campaign events have been graced by the likes of leaders such as Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Joseph Kurup and YB Tuan Khairy Jamaluddin as well as Malaysian icons such as Dato Lat and Fara Fauzana. Over the years, various business organizations, government-linked agencies, NGOs, educational institutions and individuals have supported us through multiple mediums such as projects, poster and sponsorship.
As we believe in touching the lives of everyone we know and adding value in everything, each and every one of our festive adverts, publications, campaigns and events are meant to spread the message of unity as well as messages of celebration, acceptance, and knowledge.
